Today’s post sort of has to do with werewolves, and while I’d like to have an Eye Candy Wednesday featuring my personal favorite werewolf, Sam from Maggie Stiefvater’s “Shiver,” I will settle for Mr. Taylor Lautner and his glorious abs in THE TWILIGHT SAGA. Enjoy.
Now on to the werewolves. And Maggie Stiefvater.
This could be the most important reading question you’ll ever answer.
Do you….PEEK at the last page when you’re reading a book? My answer? I always think about it, but then I’m too big of a wuss and I don’t want to ruin the ending.
Just be careful who knows yours. ‘Cuz “Shiver” author Maggie Stiefvater could be coming for you, as evidenced by this conversation on twitter yesterday.
And it begins…
Mstiefvater: Ok. So @tessagratton just revealed she read the end of a book out of order. Who else does this? CONFESS!!!
Replies are incoming…
LizB: @mstiefvater sometimes, a book hasn’t sold me in the first chapter or so. reading last chapter convinces me to read the entire book
x_becs_x: @mstiefvater i only skipped ahead when I thought sam was going to die! i had to, to stop me from crying!
megan_diva : @mstiefvater the suspense is the best part! we who read in order are thankful for the grey hairs ;D
The rampage continues…
MStiefvater: Heathens! How many of you read the last page of Shiver before you got to the end properly!? about 22 hours ago via web
MStiefvater: I actually think the number of people who read the last page first is outnumbering the people who read in order. By a lot.
And the verdict…
MStiefvater: OHMIGOSH you guys read the last page of SHIVER first! I’m killing EVERYBODY in FOREVER! about 22 hours ago via web
Conclusion: Read the last page of any book before getting there the old-fashioned way at your own risk. Beware!!
PS. “Forever” is the final installment in Stiefvater’s werewolf series. ; ) The second book, “Linger” will be out in a matter of days – July 20!
