After a Twitter discussion of favorite YA books recently, I have come to the realization there are far too few wolf-centric YAbooks out there.
When wolves, werewolves, etc., do show up in novels, they’re usually playing second fiddle to you guessed it, vampires. Or vampyres.
I believe the authors have not even, ahem, “scratched” the surface of the potential of werewolf fiction.
Barring a few noted exceptions, I must beseech YA writers to, as John Lennon might have said had he read YA books, “Give Wolves a Chance!”
PS. Lennon was an avid reader of Lewis Carroll, which one could argue, was an ancestor to our many talented YA writers today.
